Ryan works with clients on all things retirement. He manages plan sponsor and plan administrator relationships as well as works with individuals to create retirement income plans. As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Ryan holds himself to a high fiduciary standard and has fully embraced his commitment to act solely in the interests of his clients
Ryan is a native New Mexican and was born in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He made his way to Albuquerque to attend the University of New Mexico where he graduated in 2005 with concentrations in both Finance and Communications. He started his career in finance straight out of UNM with Edward Jones in 2005, spent nine years with Metropolitan Life, and in April of 2015 started retireSmartNM with his business partners Michael Newell. In June of 2016 Ryan partnered with Gateway Financial Advisors, Inc. to expand his practice by forming strategic partnerships with other advisors to meet all his clients needs. Ryan and his wife Christy, a flight attendant with Southwest Airlines, live in Albuquerque New Mexico with their three daughters.
